A crew of animals banded together through tragedy and loss, chased from their homes and their families. All of them were outcasts, no island accepted them, and thus they made their home the sea, and they followed their own rules, free spirits. But how long could this freedom really last? And can a family always love each other through everything?

Based on a Roleplay, all characters belong to their respective owners.

I accidentally wrote almost 10k for a dumb idea that just popped in my head. This was written in one night, with a friend reading it through for me. Ze is a merman, Chilled is a pirate. The rest of The Derp Crew exist... Somewhere. I may add other parts to this later, little snippets of life, we'll see. For now, it's just a long oneshot. I'll change it from Complete when I think of more ideas, if I do.
