Ruby Hayes was a mean girl and a bully in high school. Along with her friends she bullied many kids but one of those kids whose name was Marshall Mathers, Ruby wouldn't touch, but she never defended him or made an effort to truly know him. Ruby leaves home during her senior year of high school and is haunted by thoughts and dreams fueled by guilt wondering what ever happened to him. In 1999 she finds out. He's become a famous rapper, "Eminem." Ruby goes to one of his concerts and ends up running into him, but to Ruby's shock he doesn't recognize or remember who she is. So she decides to try and start fresh and get to know him, but can she really erase her past?

Just popping into the music scene, the 27 year old is looking for the opportunity to build his career further to help give his daughter a better life than he had. That's when he comes across Mia Torres. When he makes public statements about one of the biggest R&B princesses he happily ruffles some feathers. That is until he realizes that Mia Torres is not all sunshine. Mia and Marshall are polar opposites, yet they are working towards the same goal.
