Keith had been left on a Galran ship after mission. Both Voltron and The Blade of Marmora had thought he had died when he got caught caught up in a gas explosion in the sector of the ship he was in. Sadly he had been replaced by everyone for this cocky and stuck up alien. When he comes back four deca-pheebs later many things had change. For the better and worst.
This takes place after Season 5 but Keith never left Voltron. Yes he was able to balance missions and Voltron.
