Let me tell you about about a place, a mythical island. The ground is meant for much more than to step on, instead the land feels you. The lakes and rivers are also meant for more than for just bathing, its waters are used to caress you. Even the wind that blows on your skin is like a whisper. This land is alive for the very spirit of the island is in every rock, every drop of water, and each blade of grass. No one comes to the island by accident. On this island, the local beliefs and traditions may very well be viewed as taboo by modern society. However in this place nothing is taboo. Instead those that inhabit the island are free from the constraints of modern judgement. Those that live among the island are liberated from such notions of taboo. No fruit is forbidden. Those that come into the domain of the island are destined for the land to be their new home. This is the story of those that have been recently summoned. Though they have yet to realize their invitation as their ship, a pleasure cruise liner named the Serendipitous Voyage is making its way through the Mediterranean sea into an unpredicted storm. This is the story of those coming to the island and this is their story.

Anne believed in reincarnation, even though her father kept telling her it was nothing but a fairytale. She had tried every kind of prayer that existed in the world, pleading to whoever created the heavens and the earth. If she could be reborn, if miracles were real, she wished to be born, or turned, into a beautiful princess like the ones everyone adored. Her exotic skin was seen as a disgrace in her own land. From princes to coachmen, no one wanted to marry her. Her skin seemed to be an endless curse. The beauty standards of her country pushed her into the deepest pit of loneliness. But one day, just like in the fantasies she wrote about, a prince agreed to marry her, a prince even more beautiful than she was. From that day on, Anne lived with a single question haunting her heart: Why would a prince do that?
