We met at the hospital, I was a nurse, he was a pilot. He was ordered to go off to duty anywhere in the world with a 50% chance of survival, whilst I was stuck in Hawaii as a nurse helping the critically injured. Can things really work out between 2 people who are what seems like 3 worlds apart? maybe not, but I have to try, even if it could end in heartbreak. Enjoy. From that day, December 8, Philippine time, the Japanese Philippine invasion begins. This was a call of duty for Teodorico Victorio David, one of the Filipinos who joined USAFFE(United States Army Forces in the Far East). He was a holder of the Browning Machine Gun, and fought in the Japanese colonization era in the Philippines from the outbreak of war in December 1941, until the surrender of General Yamashita in September 1945. He was one of the courageous Filipino Soldiers who sacrificed his life for the liberation of the Philippines from the Empire of Japan. This is the true-to-life story of my grandfather, Corporal Teodorico Victorio David, and the Japanese Philippine Invasion.
