Emily is the second person up in the Glade and the first girl. With new people being sent up every month, finding a way out of the maze wouldn't seem to be so hard.

This is a Newt fanfic that's based on the book and the movie of The Maze Runner.
This fanficiton mainly takes place before Thomas enters the Glade, meaning it will not follow any story but my own. Please note that anything known about life in the Glade before Thomas is something I chose to ignore or incorporate in the story my own way. Since this story takes place before the franchise, it doesn't follow the storyline of the book nor the movie. Events taking place during the time of the book/movie is a mixture of the two, incorporating both movie and book.
I do not own any character but Emily. (Previously named "Seconds")

One Of Us - A Gally, Maze Runner Fan Fiction
Minho would fight for her. Newt would die for her. Thomas would kill for her. Gally would burn the whole world to the ground for her. Follow the journey of Eleanor, the only female glader, as she struggles to adjust to her new life in the Glade that takes her on a journey of love, loss, and friendship. (Gally x OC) Some notes to add: The central romance plot is between Eleanor and Gally but there is a subplot of Newtmas obviously. The story is inspired by the movies only, because the lore of the books goes quite deep and I don't think I will be able to write up to a standard that honors James Dashner's amazing legacy. Also, Eleanor is named after Eleanor Roosevelt which sticks to the idea that all main characters are named after famous scientists, inventors, and activists. Finally, this will be a three-part book for each movie and just to clarify, no smut! After Alby was sent up, the Creators sent up a girl; Emily. She is crazy, weird and sassy, but yet, lovely, beautiful and the glade absolutely loves her. Especially one person, who thinks of her more than a bestfriend. More than a sister. What if that person were a runner? Also, what would happen with her being the only girl? What would happen when she gets in these sassy-fights? Follow Emily and our favorite runner through this hilarious story between two shuck-faces. Here is a little taste of the story: "I, Minho, want you, Emily, who I cherish and love for the rest of my life, to move in with me, till death by grievers do us apart." I knew I was 'married' to a dramatical drama-queen... "Let me introduce you to this shank over there." I pointed at Newt. "That is Ashly," "I'm Newt. Not Ashly, because that's a girl's name." He said, looking at me with a glare. "But Ashly, I thought you were coming out of the closet?" "Did you move the boxes?" Gally asked, looking at me with an annoyed expression. I raised my eyebrow at him. Really? What do you think! "No, Gally. I was in there chilling with Jesus. You see, he and I have become really close. We had a tea party, and he magically made the stones to bread and wine. We spoke for a while, talking about your face needing God's miracle since Jesus himself can't fix that shucked up face of yours." Teresa is the first girl to arrive in the Glade? False. The first girl in the Glade was in fact Mia, she arrived over a year before Thomas and Teresa. The reason no one talks about her, they all think she is dead. Mia arrived in the box, same as everyone else but here's the catch, she doesn't talk. Not can't, doesn't. After a few months in the Glade Mia is sick of it, she runs off into the Maze at sundown. The Gladers assume she is dead when they don't hear from her for a week. But in reality she has been living in the maze with the Grievers, she made friends with a few of them and they protected her from the others, she runs around the maze during the night and hides during the day so that the Runners wouldn't see her. She has lived like that for almost a year now, watching over her Glader friends from afar. Each month she would watch as the new Greenie would come up in the box but then one night after a year in the maze her friends Minho and Alby get stuck in the Maze with the new Greenie. Mia joins them and starts to feel something for the Greenie. She joins in the adventure, surprising all the Gladers. This is her journey. This is a Maze Runner, Thomas X OC, fanfiction.
