This short story is for the #MidnightSunMovie contest, which I am DYING to see when it comes out! Anyways, this short story is about two star-crossed, but confused lovers Michael and Loranna, who takes a trip to see the Northern Lights, at the "Idaho Panhandle National Forest, Idaho", on a blusterous night in 1958. The only problem that comes between the couple, is the fact that the girl is African American, and the boy is white. This is the only night that they can be together, without being judged... I guess you could say, they got caught in a mix? ;)

The Purple Eyed Girl
Thousands of centuries ago humans, vampires, and werewolves lived together in harmony, considering one equal to the other. Ruled by a council of three kings, with one from each fullblood race, peace endured for quite some time. All of it was destroyed when many years later the new vampire and werewolf kings both wanted to rule over the kingdom alone. A massive war broke out between the vampires and the werewolves and millions of lives were lost. In a last attempt to stop the war one hundred years later, the land was divided into three kingdoms, the vampires, humans and werewolves. The borders were shut, crossbreeding was forbidden since it created halfbloods and demons and each kingdom was led by the king of their respective race. In secret, however, it was decided that the human king would watch over them all to prevent another war from ever happening again. Since the human kingdom laid inbetween the other two, the humans invented technology to keep all the races at bay and trained the warriors of their army as skilled hunters. As time and generations went by, the kingdoms became more isolated and the common humans forgot that supernatural beings even existed. However, the war had never truly been resolved so the hatred that the vampires and werewolves had for each other endured. When a mysterious murder occurs, chaos breaks out within the kingdoms. A throne must be taken, blood must be shed, a choice must be made and all must be answered by a girl with purple eyes. Emily finally turns 18, and they go camping out in jakes woods. Emily gets taken in the night by a stalker, and Jake comes to the rescue.When Jake goes out to find Emily, the stalker tries to kill Emily and Jake is in hot per suit to find her and make her safe again. When Jake kills the stalker, he ends up killing himself too, and now Emily can only see him in her dreams. Now, she has to handle a lot more than his house and herself while he's gone because of there little camping trip.Complete
