Really it would! But we know very well that our lives have plenty of unexpected turns which can affect what we want. If only..."

A Little Bit of Bad Luck
In this AU, Félix and Marinette's characters are based on the ones from the Miraculous anime PV that was never made (extra explanation of MCs in prologue). Additionally, there is a focus of side characters such as Gabriel, Nathalie, and Chloé (all these characters are based on the canon cartoon). This story takes place in the world of the cartoon but I have added some elements of the anime and my own spin on things. It's mostly plot and romance with occasional action. His head felt heavy in her hands. Marinette inhaled sharply, feeling the pain in her chest. This can't be real. The air was thick with smoke and the atmosphere glowed orange. "You can't leave, Félix. I can't do this without you," she whispered as tears welled in her eyes. Alya and Nino hadn't come out of the building yet, and Marinette feared the worst. Tears began to spill out, streaming down her face. "I need to take your memories, Marinette," Time Capsule said. "Let's make sure none of the other versions of ourselves have to live through this future." Marinette nodded and let her extract her memories. I can be myself around her." Ladybug smiled, her heart warming. "That sounds wonderful, Chat. I'm glad you've found someone like that." Chat grinned, a bit sheepish. "It was unexpected. I had these strong feelings for you for so long, but now I realize it was more admiration." Ladybug's heart skipped a beat. Chat had been infatuated with her, but she had never been able to return his feelings. "That's a good realization, Chat," Ladybug said gently. "I know what it's like to think you're in love, only to realize maybe it wasn't." Chat's eyes brightened. "Wait, are you... seeing someone too?" Ladybug nodded. "Yes. I've been spending time with someone. He's thoughtful, always makes me smile. I think I'm falling for him." Chat's eyes widened in surprise, but he smiled genuinely. "That's amazing, m'lady!
