"I slowly sat up, my bones aching with every movement I made. I took In a shaky breath as I looked around. For miles, there was nothing but barren ground, the soft mulch I was sitting on was sand like and grey, completely drained of its nutrients. There were no animals, no insects, not even a tree in sight. Everything looked so.... dead."
A young girl, with the name of Moon Eyes, wakes up with no memory of where they're from and who they are. All they know is that there alone in a world with little to no life. The only thing there to keep her company is the starlight sky.
With no other choice, they set off to find their purpose in this desolate planet. They yearn to find life and someone else, so they know they're not alone.
Many countless days leads her to this... thing that calls itself The Wanderer. It claims to be some sort of ancient entity that has traveled this planet for thousands of years. Eager for answers Moon Eyes travels along with The Wanderer hoping to find a way to save this desolate planet.

Certainly they could trust that those in power ultimately had the best interests of the people in mind, right? ~~~ Luna slouched low in her seat, staring at droplets of water that ran diagonally down the window of the bus. The sky was a flat, depressing grey and the incessant, soaking rain left her constantly chilled. It was a typical "liquid sunshine" day in the Pacific Northwest. They drove past a single tall scraggly tree on top of a hill shrouded in mist. The creepy tree was full of screaming crows. How could she hear them from inside the bus when she couldn't even seem to hear the voices of the kids around her? Geez, that was an awfully freaking dark image. She shivered and looked away. What did they call a group of crows again? Right, a murder of crows. Perfect. The weather was certainly the only thing that was typical these days, although you'd never know it by looking around the bus at most of the kids as they sat joking and gossiping with each other just like they had before... before that day everything had changed.
