Loki knows pain. He's dealt with much worse than Odin, that sentimental fool. He knows that whatever his punishment will be, he will bear it with ease. But, to Loki's growing horror, Odin can be very creative when it comes to discipline.
But being stripped of most of his magic, forced under an obedience spell, reaved of his lies and sent to live with the Avengers is cruel, even for Odin.
But Loki will survive.
(It isn't like he has much choice, anyways.)
He lived a life of lies, injustice, and neglect. He made gruesome mistakes. He was used, tortured, manipulated. But, sure, the God of Mischief can stay strong no matter what. Or can he?
Even the toughest cry. And when the toughest have gone through hell, they might take the path of self-destruction. Or at least that's the path that Loki took in the desperate need for something to change the void inside him--to make him feel alive again.
...
"The problem is life itself. We live only to die, we exist to turn to dust, we can see only to close our eyes one day and never open them again. What's the meaning of all this?"
"Love?"
"I don't feel anyone's love."
