He doesn't understand why the people look at them the way they do, or why he has these straps on his legs.
There's no windows, and no one looks him in the eye.
Finnigan Theodore has been here for so long, he's scared to ask why he's here in the first place. The doctors give him sharp looks, and the nurses steal his blood and his skin. Maybe that's just normal in 2300.
Finn is a pure human in a world of mixed bloods, family giving him up when he was young to the government overseeing all of humanity. As Earth recovers from the Apocalyptic War, tests are being run on anyone with clear skin and rounded ears, Pure bloods can't die, not anymore, and everyone's trying to figure out why. Guns held to heads and empty hospital rooms make up everyday, and Finnigan's terrified.
So when a young boy enters his room and tells him he'll escape, it's all too good to be true. The promises of a better life on a new planet with other people like them, and a happy life don't make sense in a world of pain and despair.
Will he go with him and run away to The New World, or will he fear his own existence too much to take a stand.

The mutation occurred on atomic and cellular level. From minimal mutations to major mutations like physical, temporal and elemental mutations. Though its cool to have those mutations some think it as a curse for human beings. Scientists on the other hand claims it as a disease. A cellular disease caused by the widespread exposure to nuclear radiations. They call this disease as X-men syndrome referenced from 20th century fictional comics.
