Sophie is a young teen struggling to fit in at school and with her identity within herself. She doesn't know what to think of herself and tries to see every reason why she is just an average cis straight female, even tho in the back of her brain, she knows this isn't true. Dysphoria can be a bitch.
Her two friends Benni and Jess, aka "Freckles", try to help her even though they have no idea what she's going through. Along the way, there's this mystery girl in her English class that sits across the room that grabs her attention. She looks up to her as a role model and maybe even as a bit more..
