Mac Reynolds has the same questions any twelve year-old orphan may have.  Who am I?  Where are my parents?  What's my purpose in life?
 
One day, he wakes up in an alternate universe and discovers he isn't an orphan.  His father is in this world too but he's being held captive by the evil ruler: the Femur King.
 
Mac realizes that he isn't just here to save his father.  He's here to save the world.  The king, mad with power, wants to destroy this world and take over other lands.  Mac stands in his way.
 
Here, Mac is a Derwilliger, or someone with special powers.  He can traverse between universes and has other abilities he must hone to perfection.  He meets a gang of friends who swear allegiance to his father and take Mac on a journey. Mac encounters obstacles and characters who try to prevent him from rescuing his father and defeat the Femur King.
 
Will Mac be able to save the world and be reunited with his father?
