"But i can make you a deal" the man spoke boldly before us. Our once saddened faces lightened at his request. what kind of deal could this be? 

"what kind of deal sir?" i squeaked slightly, my voice being dry off the endless days of walking and not being able to catch a river or pond anywhere. And with Australia being extremely hot in the summer there was no rain either. 

"I will sign foster forms,for you girls to live with me and my family, and to never return back to the awful orphanage again.." he trailed off, eyeing me and Emily to make sure we were following every word this bold man before us was saying. Raising my eyebrow for him to carry on he smiled a small smile. 

"if.. you work as maids for my 3 sons"
