WARNING ⚠️ADULT CONTENT ⚠️ It's a sin to tell a lie. It's also a sin to steal, cheat, and kill. Officer/Deputy George Ryan Ross III has been polished with these "golden rules" during his Catholic upbringing in the 1940's, while in the midst of a desolate West Texas town. Demoralized by his own fundamental principles of "truths" and "lies;" he must untangle a web of deceit, chauvinism, prejudice, and intolerance before more women end up dead. Brendon Urie is an FBI rookie in training. He's sent to the "middle of no-where" Texas on a case of dead barmaids. Love is something he never thought he would obtain with his type of lifestyle. Houston possesses underground clubs for men of his taste. Then he lays eyes on a certain West Texas cop with curly brown hair and amber eyes. "Be sure it's true when you say I love you It's a sin to tell a lie Millions of hearts have been broken Just because these words were spoken..." Inspired by: The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, play written by Larry L. King and Peter Masterson; The Killer Inside Me, novel written by Jim Thompson, also film adaptation; ID Channel-A Crime to Remember. 📍Disclaimer: Fanfiction. The characters in this story do exist IRL, but these events never happened. Therefore, fiction. This was created from a dare by @DeedeeLauren, thank you for your input, beta, proofing, and directing this story. I couldn't have thought up this fiction with you and your encouragement. You'll always be my muse. Thank you @calynell for your advices on "those scenes" and your suggestions on the most difficult character for me to write: Brendon. And a grateful and heartfelt thank you to @VickiStafford, who keeps me from looking like an uneducated, hillbilly-redneck. Thank you for your willingness to step in and edit. Brendon Boyd Urie was a citizen of a small town during the victorian era. He lived his life normal and peacefully. He was a rather royal citizen and was married as soon as he reached adulthood. To his "luck" his wife Mary only wanted the money for her own good. After a few years of marriage she had enough of sharing it and killed Brendon with poison so no one would suspect a thing. During his last moments Brendon wrote a little letter that read: "Mary did it!" He could only hope that people would find it. A few days later was his funeral. Nobody knew why their beloved friend or family member had died in such a young age but they could find anything. During the funeral Brendon found himself being in the same room as all the others. He wanted to yell and tell everybody that Mary killed him but nobody reacted. Well nearly nobody. One girl did. It was one of the maids. ♤♡◇♧ A new fanfiction in which you will be the maid. You will be the only person who's able to see and hear the ghost of Brendon. Both of you need to find a way to relive him. The last step will be to show the crowd the piece of paper but who will know if you even come that far and if you do, what will happen after that with you two? Time will tell.
