On New-Year's day, Max is attacked and left blind. He thought life with his parents was shit before, but now, when he's forced to depend on those around him, he realizes that there's no-one who'll help him except himself. He must learn to be independent, to function on his own and finds that relying on himself comes naturally. Still,he's only a child, and without anyone to trust he's left fearful and angry at the world around him. But then he sees the only light he'll ever see again. He has one opportunity to get away from it all, from his damnable parents and the life they inflict on him. That damned camp he cursed so much, and it's most loyal councilor, are his only hope. The question is, will he be able to get there, or will life kill him first?
