Is the clown the fool of the story, or are you? After all, the clown knows it's an act, but the audience is so lost in it that they tend to forget. Alfred had lived a long life. He'd learned a lot in it. That England was easy to gaslight if you knew what you were doing. France would back away from any show of force. Germany could ignore a bumbling idiot even as the evidence piled up just because he wasn't very good with people. Poland saw everything and read people like a book. Prussia would keep his mouth shut if you gave him enough liquor or made him obedient. Russia would turn a blind eye if you turned one to him. China never trusted anyone even if there was evidence of the contrary. He had to risk everything for one grudge that started decades ago. he knew this would break out to something bigger, to the point of there being a chance of losing his family too. "what are you thinking about father?" "Oh... n- nothing...now come on... lets return to the palace with your brothers" and what started as a surprise fight, would end in two part war. America, the missing personification of the world of nations. Finding out about the personification at a gala no less....... who would of guessed America had a personification, and a woman one at that.
