Fictional Friendship

A nonbinary person with anxiety is forced to go to a convention by their friends, gets ditched, freaks out, and imagines that their fictional partner is with them because they're scared out of their socks.

Meanwhile, a precious bean who happens to be cosplaying the fictional partner sees our scared little bean having a panic attack, somehow finds them adorable, and asks if they can help out our scared cinnamon bun. The scared bun, seeing the attractive character who they were just imagining in person, freaks out even more. The cosplayer helps the anxious and now blushing bean finds their friends, and the two eventually become friends themselves.

The rest of the plot involves their friendship, and them eventually falling into a cute little cinnamon squish relationship.

Emily: Max's best friend since elementary school, helped Max come out as nonbinary to their parents, secretly has a crush on jac

Jac: Max's and Emily's best friend since two years ago, introduced everyone to the magical horrors of anime and fandoms, secretly has a crush on Emily

Alex: A cosplayer who meets Max at the convention during their anxiety attack, likes chicken strips

Leo: An intense shipper girl, likes to hang out and annoy the other four characters
