Seb has always known and been very close to death even as a young child. Most of his days were spent playing hide and seek in the morgue or catching souls with his trusty butterfly net. His ancient and rather mystical grandmother even teaches him how to properly plant the souls back into the prairie. It was all he had ever known and all he thought he could do since his family was bound to do this for the rest of eternity. However, after a devastating lost he and a native girl is thrown into his life he begins to question everything he has ever known.

Sitara has a really good life. She and her family have been given the gift of god healing. Since then they have lived closely among the gods of the plain and prairie lands acting as healers. Everyday is blissful and good. However, one fatal mistake lands Sitara in the prairie lands with a boy  who can touch souls and an ancient curse that threatens to break the frail balance of the prairie lands forever.

Can Seb and Sitara work together to restore balance and finally finally put an end to a terrible curse? Or will their differences and hatred be greater.
