From as far as the gaze would travel, there were piles and piles of corpses. The battle field was strewn with limbs and carcasses of men, horses and elephants. The stench was unbearable and overpowering. The color of Daya river had turned crimson red from the blood of fallen soldiers and beasts of war. In this silent and completely devastated landscape, Asoka was taken over by a deep sense of grief, guilt and sadness. What have I done, he cried, with hands outstretched towards heavens, begging for mercy....

John woke up with a start. Cold beads of sweat trickled down his face and a shiver ran up his spine. The same vivid dream. It was so real that he could hear the dying moans of fallen soldiers and smell the putrid stench of death as it slowly rose from the battlefield. Come to me. The words ringed in his ears. The sixteen year boy was about to make the most momentous decision in his life. One, that would bring him face to face with his worst fears, and change his life forever........

NONE OF THE CHAPTERS IN THIS BOOK ARE PG-13! The settings for this book went psycho, but I promise you, this book is clean. I stared in amazement and horror, and then realized that the person-which, as I looked at him, was a boy-was extending his hand to lift me up. I took it thankfully. When I stood up, the world tipped to the left, and I stumbled. The boy caught me with strong hands. I looked at him and finally was able to look in on his features. The boy was only about 13 or 14. He had a shock of freckles, and a pointy nose, with rosy cheeks, and a mane of curly black hair. He had this quirky smile on his face, and his eyes glinted with mischief. He was dressed in a smithy outfit, complete with a tool belt, which had nothing in it. He also had some sturdy black boots. "You alright?" His voice was kind of squeaky, like he was just getting through puberty, right in the middle of high and low. "I'm fine," I replied, though he raised one of his eyebrows, pretty sure I was lying. I was of course. My favorite band had just turned into a couple of ugly, unearthly mermaids! My hands and legs trembled, and I almost fell over. I managed to stand, and asked, "What were those?" "Sirens. Probably why all the people in this room are asleep!" He grinned, like this was some kind of joke. I was not laughing. "Who are you?" I asked, not really wanting an answer, but it felt good to talk. "Oh! My apologies." He said it with a great bow. "Leo Valdez, engineer extraordinaire, son of Hephaestus." Edit: Thank you guys so much for all the awesome comments and for helping me reach over 25k reads! It is really a dream-come-true for me, I am so grateful for all your support.

**WARNING: This book does have some dark themes to it that revolve around abuse, rape etc. So please do not read if these themes are triggers for you** Four...That was her name or rather number of servant she was. She arrived at the Valley pack as a child with no name and no voice just wrapped in cloth and a strange necklace around her neck. Raised by the abusive Alpha, Four did not see any future for herself. What she thought would be a death sentence from a heist gone wrong, leaving her in the Alpha King's dungeon awaiting death for treason turned out to uncover more truths and secrets than she ever expected. ********* 'I cowered in the corner of the dark and cold cell. There was nothing but utter silence around me. It was deafening. My ears perked as I heard hissing sounds come from the vent and it made me feel weak and the door to the dungeon open. I could smell something but couldn't tell what the vapors released from the vents were burning my nostrils. I could hear foot steps drawing to my cell. The lights flicked on and I squinted to see a tall and broad figuring standing at my cell door, unlocking it, and walking in. The aura this man was giving out was making it hard not to tremble. I quickly stood up and bowed. "What is your name" he bellowed kinda muffled. I panicked and quickly remembered that the guards had not checked me before putting me in here. I pulled out my speech device and began typing...I looked up for a split second just to see a fist plummeting towards me and everything became fuzzy. I could hear screams but could not make out what was being said. Everything grew darker and darker before eventually everything was all black and my world faded...' ~~~~~~~ None of the remarks made in this story are real. It is all Fiction. ©All Rights Reserved

Folktales and legends are the essence of childhood, but there comes a time when they must be left behind. One must grow up. But when The Princess of Kaupa, is married off to the King of the Theas. What seems to be a match made by the avaricious King of Kaupa, turns out to be a match made by the gods. Folktales and legends are the essence of childhood, but there comes a time when they must be left behind. Or must they? * * * I tilt my head to look at him. I have tears in my eyes; one is running down my cold cheek. I see his eyes widen and him falling to his knees beside the tub. He grasps my left arm forcefully, his eyes wide with fear. "You will never have me..." My voice breaks, but I manage to force out the words that are edged in my mind, and in my heart. "I curse you, everything you ever love shall die, everything you ever try shall fail, everything you ever wish for shall be denied you, my curse will ruin you, but the gods... the gods will end you..." I draw in a shaky breath, and gather the last of my strength. "The gods are as sardonic as they are vengeful... You shall die by the hand of The Spirit Warrior..." In the few moments after I say those words, there is utter silence and the only thing I hear is the sound of my blood hitting the water in the tub, which is already painted red. I see him opening his mouth and yell at me, yelling my name, but I hear nothing. I close my eyes and I feel only the blood steadily dropping from my wrist. "Put me in the same coffin..."

Pack destroyed. Father dead, mother dead, sister dead. Little Brayden is left alone. If it weren't for the teenage Alpha that finds him and takes him in. Story excerpt As I run past the man I feel his arms take hold of me pinning me to him as he picks me up. "Let go of me! My father will kill you!" I scream. I kick at him but he holds me tightly. "He's the Alpha!" The man kneels down and I feel my feet touch earth. He continues to hold me tight. Eventually he loosens his grip not enough to free me just enough that he can look me in the eye. "Your father is gone." The man tells me. "No!" I yell at him. I swing as hard as I can punching the man in the chest. "I don't believe you!" I didn't see Daddy but he is a strong wolf! An Alpha! No way he is dead! I feel the tears run down my face as I look around. Fire, rubble, and death... everyone is gone. I fall into the man sobbing. I can't fight any more. My pack is dead. The man picks me up again carrying me to his car. "What's your name little guy?" He asks. I have a hard time making words through my tears. "B... Bray... Brayden." I stammer gripping his shirt. "Hello Brayden... I'm Alpha Aaron... I'm gonna take care of you." He says. This is backstory for Brayden from my book Alpha Lilly. This story runs from before Alpha Lilly until part way through Orphan Wolf so spoilers are certain for those books. I'd suggest reading them first but you don't have to. This is NOT BxB... a lot of people seem to think that but it's not. Don't want you guys to be mislead.

You were only a small child when you were brought to the kingdom of Hastinapur as an orphan. Lord Bhisma, kindest of men, took pity on your plight and adopted you, raising you within the palace walls alongside the five Pandava brothers. Though you were not of royal blood, the princes were kind to you and you became their close friend and companion through the years of shared childhood. Your gentle, calm demeanor served as a soothing balm to their more fiery spirits, especially the impulsive Bhima and Arjuna. As you grew into a young woman under Bhisma's care, your friendship with the Pandavas deepened into something more complex. Secretly, each of the brothers felt a growing affection for you, though none dared speak of it for fear of causing strife between them. You remained oblivious to their hidden feelings, content in your role as a sister and confidant. One fateful day, everything changed when arrangements were made for your marriage - not to one man, but all five Pandava brothers as was customary. You were shocked at this revelation, never imagining your childhood friends could be your future husbands. How would you adjust to this new dynamic, sharing a life and their hearts? And would the brothers' camaraderie survive, or be torn asunder by desires of the heart? Through thick and thin the Law shall prevail. A new sense of purpose awaits us, children of light, in the land where it all began. The darkness in which we once cowered in fear, now curbed by the might of our endless light. Come, brothers, come, sisters. Let there be peace among the wicked, just as the Law dictates. Peace and certainty is all that you have ever longed for, little angel. A bright, stable future. A roof without holes above thy head. Acknowledgement and recognition of thy existence, feverish dreams of grandeur. Greed born from yearning, treacherous vines of rapacity taint your innocent soul. You seek a future that does not exist. Let thy fingers hold the fragile line between dream and nightmare. Let thy light navigate the path. Shall thee give in and falter, O' land of old, envelop his body in thy unending flame of chaos. Spit out nothing but an empty husk, the remnants of a smile once so bright. Shall thee prevail, O', Great Kazdel, I ask of you, the impossible - take mercy on the innocent. Don't let the radiance dim and don't let the mind turn bleak. Wake, young traveler. Bid thy farewells and burn thy bridges. It's time to say goodbye, curly head. Cross post from AO3. For a shorter and more on-point description, look no further! I had something silly written up before throwing it out in exchange for that wall of text upstairs. It's a little story "about a young, dumb sankta who's been dealt a bad hand at life, looking for his place in all this mess. The pointless search for a better future leads him far, far away from home, to a country forever ravaged by war and misery - Kazdel, the promised land where devils roam free and peace feels out of place." Anyway, it's quite lengthy, but hopefully enjoyable? Slide a comment if you want, I'll give you a tiny kiss on the forehead. Man, do I love comments. (Lastly, to point out, English is not my native language, but I don't think it'll be much of an issue ;3)
