Ancient Monster Coup D'état resides within Elliot Pearson's mind as nothing more than an increasingly cynical voice. That is, until another Monster begins to unlock Elliot's own latent monstrous disposition. 

Coup even goes so far as to turn on his own Creator in a futile attempt to protect Elliot from the tentatively dormant beast within his subconscious. However, as Elliot spirals into an unstoppable deterioration, it becomes clear that no one may be able to keep him from going truly berserk.
