Hanging by a thread, the world is pummelled into a dystopian future. Genetic Modification has become the norm. Farming has ceased to exist. Plants and Crops have. Animals have. Everything consumed is artificial. The only natural elements left in the world are now the people occupying it as well as a few other elements. The world has erred and is in need of saving. But what happens when mother nature decides to intervene? When the last resolve is biological innovation- free of mankind's interference? What happens when evolution strikes some of the humans again? But more importantly, what happens when the change in genealogy is to reject everything artificial and consume the only thing in the world that is natural...
These two types of species of homosapiens that are struggling to "co-exist" on earth. Humans and Subordinates. But why are Subordinates despised and considered less than humans?
Humans and Subordinates are exactly the same. They look the same. They live in sectors too. They feel emotions. They have faiths. They die.
There is only one difference. A difference in biology. A difference in genealogy that people are born with. A difference that can't be helped. A difference that cant be changed. A difference that can't be tamed.
But the difference is grave. Frightening. Exigent. Dire.
Most importantly, the difference is unchangeable. Unthinkable. Insatiable.
Subordinates do not share the same source of nutrition as humans do. They only have one source of nutrition, unlike humans who are lucky to have various choices.
But alike to humans, nutrition is needed for survival. For living.
And so to survive, Subordinates must eat to receive their nutrition. Their only source of nutrition; the only energy source that is not artificial ... humans.
