Shade Sutcliff, known as October from her halloween-ish style, is a teenage-vampire living in a small town named Whitney. She assumes she's the only vampire left, after the incident; as she calls it, happened, alive until one day a guy by the name of Vladimir Black (him being tall, suductive, and not to mention handsome) comes to town. At first she's weary of him, but casually gets to know him. Once he knows for certain she's one of his kind, he tells her of himself, and his adventures. Though something's wrong, very wrong. She feels her sire's, Cain's, thoughts push into hers again, but he was supposed to be dead. The last she saw him, he was killed by rouge, rabid vampires. He'd bleed to death, and was beginning the first stage of Rougeness. He'd Turned her when he was drunken by whiskey, and other alcohols. He'd feed from her, but was foolish enough not to drain her. Sadly for him she will have none of it. She can take care of herself she doesn't some random man who just tried to eat her to do that for her. None the less he won't take no as an answer.
