Arsenic and Carne were from a poor village, that was enslaved by the king of musalate and his witch. They were imprisoned and brought into a forest of demons, so even if they did escape, their chance of living afterwards, wouldnt be high. Everyone around them was sickly and dying, and the only way to save everyone was to face their fears, but even if they got through the demon forest, there was many more challenges ahead, including dragons, sea monsters, trolls, sirens, and much more.
