Set back in the Medieval Era are the Rangers, an elite group of spies that are the eyes and ears of the Kingdom of Araluen. Amaris is a tough girl from an orphanage who wishes to be something no other female has ever been before: a Royal Ranger. Will she make it through her apprenticeship? And even more importantly, what happened to her sister long, long ago? Was she killed by the assassins that killed her parents? And is Amaris herself trustworthy? Or was she the very reason her family was murdered in cold blood?
"Rangers are people shrouded in mystery, although it's no secret that the Royal Ranger Corps. has saved this kingdom countless times. They, too, work under the command of our well loved King Duncan. As I was saying, many think that the Ranger Corps. are associated with black magic, so although people respect them, the Rangers are also feared by the people. You see, Rangers are unique to this kingdom and do the work of spies and assassins. They use longbows with deadly accuracy, and daggers just as well. Also, they're professionals at unseen movement. A Ranger could be standing on the other side of a well lit room, and yet you'd have trouble seeing him."

This is a fanfiction of the AWESOME series of " Ranger's Apprentice". This story is in the modern world with magic and powers. This book is also a story that I did with my two friends. We each have our characters. Mine is Grace Stratton, a soldier (A.K.A a knight) and Orson Xipil, a dragon. My one friend has the characters of Alexa 'Alex' Chayse Sovereign, who is a Ranger. She also has Corvin, Cassius, Lysandra Gorlan, who is the son of Moragarth. Then the last two characters Seri Annabelle "Anna" Awentia Illume, and Tokala Myrridin Viveza. In JOS I set the rogue and con-artist Harric against a foil of warriors in a land threatened by magic and civil war. Whenever possible I turn familiar tropes on their heads: instead of a handsome young Lancelot, I cast a broken-down ex-champion addicted to pain-killing herbs; instead of a dashing Squire Brian, the old knight reluctantly takes an ambitious young woman as squire. Similarly, I re-imagine the standard medieval milieu by infusing aspects of two of my favorite historical periods, Elizabethan England, and The American Frontier. Both eras boast a kind of nationalistic arrogance that borders on hubris, and a magnificent spirit of resourcefulness and re-invention that is fun to play with.
