Katherine Lahey is your average smart teenager, who only has one best friend and is far from social. But when a plot twist named Chris McHall, her long loved crush ask her too help him study and become absolutely close study buddies changes her story to be rewritten.
They become more close then ever and express how the truly are to one another. But later Katherine finding out he has Acute Myelogenous Leukemia. But Chris doesn't want to live his live in the confines of fear.
Until Katherine loses her father and her best friend Sophia doesn't show up to her funeral, and Chris is there to support her. Chris tries to help guide her and cheer her on through the tough drama she faces at home and school, while their relationship is on the rocks. Katherine needs to fix herself, but doesn't know where to start.
