undergoing 1st round developmental edits!! When Edith, an overworked college student goes no contact with her parents, she must find a way to financially support herself while she gets her degree. She enters a writing competition in which the winner gets a book deal. When she struggles to write the violence in the slasher novel she decided to write, she turns to drastic measures for inspiration. After all, you should write what you know... a/n: hi guys!! this is an (incredibly) rough first draft of what originated as a project in my Creative Writing class. We were given the school year to write an original novella, and this is mine! I've grown really attached to the plot, but at my current writing skill, I don't think I could've properly gotten the point across in the time I was given. I'm publishing it here both to share it with my friends and to hopefully find proofreaders! I would really appreciate it if you could leave suggestions in the comments as they occur, or dm me for longer explanations! SEASON of DESTRUCTION - my hunt for a comic-book artist
I'm looking for an artist to join me as a creative partner in developing this limited-series comic, "Season Of Destruction". I've drawn the first issue myself - you'll quickly see I'm not a professional artist by any stretch, but I wanted to have a promotional draft to show a prospective partner - something more dynamic than a black-and-white script. Think of this as a very creepy mood board dipped in blood. My reinvention of the vampire genre isn't a fun or tongue-in-cheek treatment - the principal figures in my story are murderers. They behave as such, and that menas this is a disturbing story. It's hard to find someone who can stomach my portrayal of a cult that worships Death. Due to mature content (95 percent horror, 5 percent nudity) not all panels meet Wattpad content guidelines. If you're an artist who has read this entire thing, seen the comic, and you're interested in helping me get wheels under this project (pencil draft, then a Kickstarter campaign) DM me. At that time I thought my pre-apocalyptic setting of global turmoil, global warming and wildfires, disease and famine, were a long way off, and I wasn't sure where exactly in time to set my story. A first, crap, draft of a story I'm rewriting in a universe I made up when I was 18 and still love. I don't really intend to publish this - it's the base for what's probably going to be a film, if I can get the main characters to stop jabbering at each other. This is basically just a new book of oneshots since my old one is from like three years ago. Some of them are rewrites. This is mostly x readers, just like the last one. Most of the time, the reader will be female, but I try not to make it as ambiguous as possible (so I don't mention specifically gendered features). However, when it comes time to write them, it will be female unless asked otherwise of me. There will most likely be smut at some point. On top of that, there'll probably be a range of dark and triggering topics. Please read with care. Updates will be slow and inconsistent, since I'm writing these based on my own motivation without a real "end goal". They generally fall under the urban fantasy genre and are shared here, as-is, without any editing, for posterity -- warts and all! This was my first year participating, and the first time I've ever written consistently and seriously over an extended period of time, so pardon the newbie mistakes.
