Prologue and Chapter One of the historical fiction novel available on Amazon!

The Crimson Heirlooms. One tangible - a priceless necklace called the Cross of Nantes. The other ephemeral - a secret hidden within the lyrics of a song. Each holds the power to change the course of history. But together, the price of ownership is death or salvation.

1832, Paris. Jake Loring is an American student living in the city during the turbulent march to revolution. Torn between the safety of going home to America and the passionate adventure of joining the Resistance, Jake foolhardily follows Paris into violent madness and soon finds himself being blackmailed by the Sphinx-like Monsieur Tyran to search for the Crimson Heirlooms... or die trying.

1776, France. The Heirlooms are born out of the drama unfolding in and around the dying manor of the Traversier Family and the Guerriers of Saint-Domingue. Furious betrayal, religious passion, illicit love and faltering honor between the men and women of both clans forge the Heirlooms and determine the fate of each family.

Past and present intersect as Jake outruns the dangerous forces trying to stop him while sifting through the rubble of this half-century-old drama in order to find the clues that will lead him to the current location of the Heirlooms and to freedom.

But at what cost to France? And his soul?

Featured on @HistoricalFiction @NARomance 🥇2023 Rose Gold Awards 🥇Literary Book Awards Story of Edith&Andre: "O'Lady Liberty divine! For thee alone, my life I'd resign: I beseech all to carve thy name so fair, On my tombstone, for all to stare." "This is a love poem for me?" Edith couldn't help muttering resignedly. But what else could she do? Her lover was a stoic little leader! Every time she complained that he was always working tirelessly, Andre would smile and whisper in her ear, "Have you not heard? 'A revolutionary only finds rest in his grave'." It seemed like an ominous omen when he ultimately had neither a grave nor a tombstone. The only thing Andre left her was a small notebook with a red cover. The front page was inscribed with neatly written words: Love, Compassion, Liberty. The final pages remained blank, but at the very end was a small line of pencil writing, already smudged and faded. Each letter was bold and alive, revealing the profound happiness and fervor of the writer: "Liberty is the right to love and to be loved." Story of Fiona: Little Fiona always thought that she lived in a world entirely separated from those wealthy girls, until this barefooted waif became a little Marchioness overnight. She had two fathers, one grand and handsome like a god, the other short and frail like a reed. They believed in completely different philosophies - the latter left her mired in poverty and shame, while the former pulled her into a heaven full of dignity and glory. Fiona chose one and abandoned the other. She felt she lacked nothing: beauty, wealth, honour, and love. Until she met that angel in the scarlet dress again. A century later, the old soldier who ended Fiona's life recalled her in his memoir: "I felt that old lady was a blaze of fire. I aimed at her, shot, and she fell. But bullets could never snuff out flames." What romantic entanglements will fate weave for these noble souls?

Centuries after the Fall, the United States has been wiped away. The crumbling remains of the great American empire are home now only to savage, lawless tribes and packs of ravening Damned-the twisted children of the apocalypse. Most of those few who survived humanity's destruction spend their short lives in a violent struggle for survival. But some light still flickers in the darkness: the Blessed of Bountiful live in seclusion, relying on walls both physical and spiritual to protect them from the Desolation that their world has become. Among them are the Saints, those few men and women born with superhuman abilities that the Blessed see as gifts from God. The violent apostate tribes of the Northeast Kingdom have always been a danger, but up until recently its small size and the vigilance of its people have made Bountiful an unappealing target. As attacks on the community grow harsher and more frequent, however, even the steadfast Blessed are forced to start preparing for the worst. With her home's very existence threatened, seventeen year old Ever Oaks, a Saint with the power to heal, is forced to make a difficult choice, one that may come to define her people's future... Exile was a semi-finalist in Mark Lawrence's Great Self-Published Fantasy Blog-Off (#SPFBO). Fantasy Faction said it was "extremely cool," and Bookish Lifestyle called it "more than just a story, a journey and an experience." When I'm asked about it, I often describe it as "X-Men meets The Walking Dead." In addition to reading it here for free, you can buy Exile in e-book or paperback on Amazon.com.

The Jefferson Allegiance: # 2 Nationally Bestselling eBook. I will post an excerpt every Friday. The first book in my Presidential series. The Kennedy Endeavor will out on 14 November 2013 The 4th of July 1826. As Thomas Jefferson lies dying, he gives his part of his Jefferson Cipher to Edgar Allen Poe, with instructions to take the disks to West Point. In Massachusetts, John Adams entrusts his part of the Cipher to Colonel Thayer, the superintendent of the Military Academy. As Thayer rides away, Adams utters his final words: "Thomas Jefferson survives." In the present, Green Beret Paul Ducharme has been recalled from Afghanistan after the 'accidental' death of his best friend, the son of one of the Philosophers. While Ducharme is visiting his friend's gravesite in Arlington, an old man is executed by a member from the Society of Cincinnati know as the Surgeon, who is seeking to gather all the pieces of the cipher. In a nearby restaurant, former CIA and now Curator at Monticello, Evie Tolliver, waits anxiously for her mentor to arrive, but he's killed by the same assassin at the Zero Milestone. His heart and the Philosopher's head are displayed as a grisly message on top of the stone, echoing Jefferson's famous head-heart letter. Ducharme and Tolliver, the unknowing heirs to become the next generation of caretakers of the Jefferson Allegiance, team up and must battle the Surgeon to assemble the Cipher and find the Jefferson Allegiance, a document that has kept the balance of power in the United States for over two centuries. The story is a race back through history and the founding of the country. This is the first book in a new series: The Presidential Thrillers, each novel based on a historical puzzle left behind by a President.

‼️Warning there is smut, violence, blood, killing, and many other stuff, so read at your own risk. ‼️ I'm quoting many other writers with this whole warning stuff ... I AM RESPOSIBLE FOR WHAT I WRITE BUT NOT FOR WHAT YOU READ. ⚠️ I will not bother to put more warnings. This should be enough ⚠️ Hello, this is my first MLB story, and I'm super excited. I'll update as often as I can, but I can't guarantee anything. Except that I'll try my best. I'd like to give a bit of credit to @TheCatNoirOfTheNight. Most of my ideas are because of her writing. Basically, we're I got the inspiration from, so thanks you very much. I'd still dare say this story is original though. Her writing is awesome anyway, and I really recommend that you all go check out her profile. In this story, Marinette is the second daughter of Tom Dupain and Sabine Cheng. Tom's the mafia leader of the Italian mafia. Once his daughter was born, he locked her up in her own mansion with his wife, Sabine. She is a loving mother always taking care of Marinette until her sudden death. Marinette lives by herself, she has a small lethal secret, and she's seen as a monster. She loves to pretend to be weak and innocent though. This helps her be underestimated and gives her an advantage. So she'll even take it to a bit of extremes. she's also really kind, btw, so she'll give many opportunities for people to not be in her red list. The only reason she's not taking over the world is cause she doesn't feel like thinking about it. So a certain Adrien Agreste is the main ruthless mafia boss taking over everything, even controlling his own parents. Marinette's parents would be on top, but they were scared of letting her know how much control she has. So they backed down from their position as second most powerful mafia gang. They're still powerful, but they hide as much as possible. Until she's forced to an arranged marriage with Adrien. Who's more curious about her than anything. Enjoy seeing them fall

Long ago, before the Lutrosy Empire, powerhouse of the southern continent, there existed a small sect of priests who worshipped an unknown god of history. This god is said to have given onto it's few worshippers a piece of itself, The Tome of Past. The one who carries the tome is said to have been given a great mission. To collect the stories of the deceased to put into the tome. It is said by the ancient stories and the whispers of superstitious peasants that the tome grants an individual the ability to experience the past of the deceased. However, the Tome is thought to have been lost during the formation of the Lutrosy empire when King Francesco Severoth marched his armies to West Replure and conquered his brother's lands before unifying the middle of the southern continent. Now, with the tome becoming ancient legend, there are few who believe it existed at all. After all such a powerful artifact would have been found by now by the machinations of lore obsessed wizards or god inspired clerics yet it remains lost. But fate is a mysterious beast, a book that many powerful figures would risk their lives for ends up in the hands of a young man who knows not it's true value... Hi, I'm the creator of this story, I go by Flyingtelop as my online handle. I made an unfinished story awhile back that was really bad. I've returned with a vengeance though and learned more about writing. This is a significantly improved product from my other story, The Forest Of Madness. This story will not have a consistent upload schedule, I plan to put everything I have into this novel so each chapter will take a lot of time for me to complete. Each chapter will hold at least 10,000 words of hopefully decent quality. If a chapter's bad I will literally rewrite the chapter so it shows as much quality as I can muster - Flyingtelop

[Male Reader X Maria Renard.] WARNING: This story contains plenty of narrative elements that are far more sinister and disturbing than my other books. Reader discretion is advised. The French Revolution. Late 18th Century France, 1792. France has seen a time of peace, until now. The cobblestone streets of Paris are soon to run red with blood as the populace rises against the oppressive vampire lead aristocracy. But freedom comes at a high price. Due to massive amounts of food purposely being held back from the public, the fall of a Regiment that once kept the peace, the manipulation of the people on a grand scale, and hunger induced domestic violence that spreads across France like wildfire, nowhere is safe. The aforementioned violence starts to boil over to the point where people are killing each other in the streets either in organized or non-organized ways. Including French Nobility using politics as a weapon to kill anyone whoever so slightly irritates them, or say the wrong words. Innocent people are sent to the guillotine as a result of the chaos, but not everything is as it seems. The counter-revolutionary aristocracy has forged an alliance with a terrifying Vampire Messiah, who promises to devour the sun, which will in turn darken the earth permanently, and allow an army of vampires and night creatures to crush the resisting humans and enslave humanity to only exist as their food to eat. Regardless, in the wake of The French Revolution, it leaves Richter, Maria, Edouard, Madeline, You, Annette, and Tera with no other options left but to band together, prevent the sun from being eaten by the so called "Vampire Messiah", to survive by any means, protect the people, and of course, to extinguish the creatures that lurk the night. Every last one. Good luck surviving this war, you'll need it. Castlevania Series © Konami & Netflix. Assassin's Creed © Ubisoft. All songs used in this story belong to their respective owners.
