Ireland Morris had a normal life. Until the summer before 9th grade. Captured, she was taken to a top-secret scientific laboratory, where she found out she was, like the other 99 children there, a genetically engineered project, one of the basic templates for what the scientists hoped were perfect soldiers. But Ireland wants out. She starts a rebellion, aided by some unexpected friends, and takes the name Osiris. But when her friends start getting sick due to a genetically engineered illness, Ireland may have to give up... or die.

[There is a better, final edition of this story called Haven's Army.] Individualism. Freedom. Friendship. Love. Man's four virtues. What if it was all taken away? Everyone is the same. They do their part in supplying the Halo and making the government island's inhabitants' lives better. But what of them? Step out of line and you are tortured. That's just what Charlotte does, just after an accident involving a modern bomber plane and she ends up on an island everyone thought was destroyed for, you guessed it, an uprising. There, she discovers a quite large resistance force made up of kids from around thirteen to nineteen, just waiting for the right moment to strike. Charlotte discovers hidden powers and soon, they're off to restore their individualism, freedom, friendship, love.
