This is a collection of my submission for the "Write to rank" challenge back in March 2018.

White Belt: 100 word flash-fiction about a moment capture in mid-action.
Yellow Belt: 500 word flash fiction about a high speed chase.
Orange Belt: 800-word flash fiction that contains a dialogue between good and bad.
Green Belt: 1k (min) and 1.2k (max) words - Mystery mashup with action.
Blue Belt: 1.2k words - science fiction mashup with action.
Purple Belt: 1k - 1.2k words - historical fiction mashup with action.
Brown Belt: 2k word one-shot with the following incorporated: An explosion, a damsel (distressed or not), the words - "There is no stopping this madness." and lastly a big old cliffhanger.
Red Belt: 3k word spin-off of a well-known action movie.

A Medieval Action work with a number of different genre as each round's prompts dictate. Battles, Kings, princes, a princess; crowns, plots, twists and turns. Achiever of all the nine belts. WINNER OF ROUND 9 - "A NEW WORLD" Something different for me to stretch my writing skills and get back into one of the things I love most in my life - to create stories. this 'work' idea has been created by Ambassadors here for this "Write to Rank Contest 2022" - each chapter (round) to be written from a prompt given by the contest creators. The first round is a very quick read indeed, - a DRABBLE - a story of exactly 100 words, no more, no less; however much ACTION. ROUND 5 - MORE twists and turns in this unexpected but amazing challenge - mashing up fantasy and action - battles; legends exposed under-cover; flying with eagles; a rare mental condition called today "Boanthropy" - seemingly of fantasy but a historic king suffered 7 years from it! Not a witch - maybe not even an 'Angel' - more human than she seems... Darkened Souls 1: Naughty Killer de elysianzms

When the car comes to a stop, I stride across to her side pulling her out of the car forcefully, hurting her arms successfully while pulling out the cloth from her mouth and unwrapping her arms from my tie. "You fucking manic, I will scream, do you hear me, I will fucking scream" "That's the plan for tonight isn't it sweetheart" Her eyes widen visibly as her thighs clash together beneath my gaze. When I walk into the elevator, all she does is try to get away, she kicks me, attempts to punch me multiple times, I've done this with her, what? A solid seven times? I think so, I've fought with her in an elevator seven times. Caging her between my arms, she watches up at me with hatred and lust engraved as a secret message in her pupils. "What are you going to do?" Bringing my head down, kissing her pulse once more, feeling it beat faster, I whisper to her. "Fuck you senseless" Darkened Souls is a mafia Oneshot using certain aspects from my actual novel that will soon be published, eg. the characters, their motives for hate, their description, their personalities. This book is fiction and a short smutty read, enjoy<3

Tinder and Other Tales de NathanBurgoine

In 2018, I put together a simple draw to challenge myself (and anyone else who wanted to try) with flash fiction prompts made up of three suits of cards, shuffled and drawn. The clubs denoted a genre, the diamonds were an object, and the hearts were a setting. Starting with January (A fairy tale, a tattoo machine, and a prison) and drawing once a month thereafter, over the course of a week with no more than 1,000 words, the idea was to write a flash fiction piece using those prompts. It let me stretch writerly muscles a bit (especially into genres where I don't often wander). Here are all twelve stories that came out of the Flash Fiction Draw Challenge.

30 Days, 30 Stories: A Writing Challenge de stvnlra

This is a 30 day writing challenge, a collection of short stories. I've always been a world class procrastinator. The goal of this challenge is to get me writing regularly and, hopefully, break me of the perfectionist thinking that often paralyses me. The Rules: 1. Write and publish 1 short story (flash fic, vignette) per day for 30 days. 2. Stories must be at least 100 words. 3. They can be of any genre or subject matter. Like a lot of writers I have notebooks lying around full of random story ideas. Most of my older ideas are for novels and screenplays. Been going thru my old ideas and picking out the ones I think lend themselves to the short story format. I'm also working on coming up with NEW ideas that I can use here. Never been good at using prompts, but this is a good opportunity to experiment with those. All the stories here are original works written specifically for this challenge. This book is the submission for the contest of Write to Rank 2021 in which every chapter represents different themes given by the contest's admins with the main genre of action. Every chapter would be a different story thus this is a book of mini stories with made-up prompts. The Write to Rank contest is held by @action ---- Chapter 1 (White Belt): 100 words of running from a crime scene. Framed or guilty? Chapter 2 (Yellow Belt): 500 words of the epic banter between good and evil. Chapter 3 (Orange Belt): 800 words of a trip gone wrong, action-packed and fast. Chapter 4 (Green Belt): 1.2k words of mystery and action mashup. Write in active voice! Chapter 5 (Blue Belt): 1.2k words of scifi and action mashup. Reaction more than telling. Chapter 6 (Purple Belt): 1.2k words of historical fiction and action mashup. Show don't tell! Chapter 7 (Brown Belt): 2k words one-shot of a clear protagonist and antagonist, cliffhanger, and the line "If we do this, there's no turning back." Chapter 8 (Red Belt): 3k words of action fanfiction from a beloved and famous fandom of either movies or games or shows. I personally chose The Last of Us. Is it real? Is it the only reason why Scion run away without even saying a word, not even 'goodbye'? Wait, how and why did I met him in the first place? Why did I like his guts and turned to love? Was he even worth the love I have? Sovran, his best friend is worthy but I believe he is too much because he's too good for my stubborn heart. "If you need me, I'll be there because I care. You can cry on my shoulder as longer as you can." Sovran is always there all the time waiting in front of our school to take me to places he feels nice for me. I dated some guys just to forget him, to move on and to heal my broken heart. Escaping from this mess is too hard for me to do. The effort I did was too much that I have broken myself by flirting, enjoying parties and studying. No matter what I do, I always look for that idiot Scion who is always hot later cold and keeps on annoying me that he would even embarrass me for expecting. "Do you think I could kiss you? You're not hot enough to deserve me." He will laugh and mocks me hard. I thought he is evil and cold in touch but I have seen the truth, the real Scion behind him. "I won't do anything that we will both regret. Even if you force me, I won't give in." He held me in his arms soaked in the tub until the drug has passed out. I have loved the two sides of him and if I will be given a chance to save him, I will do everything. Even if it costs my life. Highest rank: #19 in adventure and #1 in AGWRITINGWARDS by January 2019

The Fabulous Spec-Fic Smack Down Anthology de katiegoesmew

Here I go with another writing experiment. I joined The Fabulous Spec-Fic Smack Down by LayethTheSmackDown, which required me to write Speculative Fiction flash fiction, short stories, drabbles, and poetry inspired by prompts. If you're as unfamiliar with Speculative Fiction as I was when I started this, check out @ReshapeIt for more info. So, the writing experiment: - I'd never written Speculative Fiction. - Or flash fiction. - Or drabbles. - Or from an image prompt. Somehow, I survived the eliminations until round four, part one. I've decided to keep following the contest on my own, so as long as it's running, I'll keep adding chapters within the deadline based on the prompts provided. But I won't stop when the contest ends. This has been such a fun project, so I've decided to continue entering prompt-based contests and keep the story going as long as I can. :) Note: Word count varies with the application used. All the word counts here come from Google Docs. Content/trigger warnings: anxiety, depression, loss of a loved one, murder, PTSD, sexual references, strangulation, violence. ***** To all the judges of Short Story categories in awards I entered: Sorry. This 'sploded and won't stop growing. If you feel the need to disqualify because it's not short anymore, I don't blame you, and I don't mind. Or if you just want to pick a couple of chapters and read them, that's fine, too. I don't care. 😅

From the contest Write to Rank, a competition about action writing with challenges every week. This is my entry on the contest. Hope you enjoy it. Released : Part 1 -white belt : write a 100 words flash-fiction action about the realization of danger. The wordcount must be exactly 100 Part 2 -yellow belt : write a 500 words flash-fiction with the prompt "Dead or alive. You're coming with me." The wordcount max is 500 words Part 3 -orange belt : write an 800 words flash-fiction with dialogue between good and bad. The wordcount max is 800 words Part 4 -green belt : write a 1000-1500 words flash-fiction using the genres of action & thriller/horror. Must mostly contain active sentences and fast-paced. It has to be first person perspective. Part 5 -blue belt : write a 1000-1500 words flash-fiction using the theme "Ride or Die" with a third person perspective and the show not tell sentences. Part 6 -purple belt : write a 1000-1500 words action fantasy with a plot twist. Part 7 -brown belt : write a 2000-2500 words action + free theme and with active sentences. End with an insane cliffhanger. Part 8 -red belt : write a 3000-3500 words (continuation of the brown belt) + active sentences and fast-paced. Part 9 -black belt : write a 4000+ words to end the story of Part 7&8.
