Rayn lives in a destroyed world. The earth has dried up, turning to sand, and the people wandering it have one focus- survival.
She has been protected by her tribe for all 16 years of her life, but her initiation has come. Rayn, along with all the other initiates, will be sent out of their home for one month. The people of her tribe tell stories of the wonders and dangers of the world. She only needs to survive for one month, an easy task if she's willing to lose her humanity.
