God, I miss that incredible sci-fi RP. A shame it went fucking Pokemon Go and died a while after it blew up. Here are extracts of my contribution in the storyline. 

The Archivist is my character, basically people seemingly disappeared and hyperspace can't work anymore - it's sci-fi shite for the most part. Think of it as when all internet service providers fuck up and there's no communication, but on a larger scale. 

The Nexus is his 'underground' databank on an artificial planet. High-tech security, lotsa secrets and shite.

I did a research project to explore whether The Singularity could happen sooner than expected. Like maybe RIGHT NOW? Technically speaking that turns out to be very difficult, but not impossible, if we assume a series of precise breakthroughs. The storyline depicts the last few weeks before this transition, an event more awesome than anything we can imagine. It's written as a collection of incidents and developments set in the VERY near future. Each brief chapter could be read independently. No equations are used in this version of the story. The main character is not really part of the process, but gets to witness things up close. Unfortunately, there was no way I could make him survive the events.

It's the year 2138 and a war is raging upon earth. A shortage of resources has made the government and rich greedy, keeping materials for themselves, leaving everyone, especially the poor, to suffer. Due to such despicable behavior, a group has risen out of anger and hatred for the government, going into fights and heists to reclaim the resources and share it with the public. In response to these acts, the higher-ups have created their own group called "Defenders" and out of spite this rebellious group in turn named themselves "Oppressors". Nexus was one of them, filled with rage and anger. He fought with honor and the will to help the less fortunate. But over the years he noticed that their own goal was beginning to shift, them getting greedy and murdering people just because while the latest group of defenders seemed pretty peaceful, wanting to reunite everyone again and rebuild society. Even when I tried to save it, I still lost it. Yeah, you heard right. I am no saint. This world is far from cupcake and t ,rainbows and their isn't not one soul that could tell me different. I have had to fight to survive since the day I lii I broke out of an egg into this world. No one has ever known where I came from and from the moment I got here I've never know any kindness. I have always been the odd one out because I was different. I'm not talking different just because the color of my skin. I'm talking different because when I get well and truly pissed I turn into a vicious monster. I'm not talking a kiddie monster like the one that creeps under your bed while you are sleeping or chooses to hide in your closet. I'm the type that you cant get away from. I travel through space and time. If I want you, I will have you. I have the powers of invisibility on my side, and you will never see me coming. There is no one that can catch me because I can poof away at the drop of a hat. If that doesn't scare you than the thousands of scars on my body and my size definitely will. But who cares about that shit anyway. Looks aren't everything. I am Maximus.
