Ethan Winters preemptively think his wife, Mia Winters, is dead after 3 years of her unexplained disappearance. His current occupation as a sysytem engineer led him to live a mundane life with her wife missing. Still haunted by that thought, he continued living and forgetting, until he received an email claiming that Mia is waiting for him at a strange remote place -- Dulvey, Louisiana.
