The rumours were caught on by the Head of Programming and General Manager at Urdu1, Nina Kashif and she decided to put them to rest. She clarified that the rumors were false and baseless and explained that the drama producers took permission from Qandeel's parents. They were also compensated with an amount that they asked for.
