The Captain and the Sea

Young writer Ellie Rosewater is sent to Crystal-View Harbor by her mentor--Mr. Dames-Wood--in hopes that she will experience life outside the walls of East Wood and expand her writing abilities. She must now live a year in Crystal-View before he comes back for her--intailing her acquiring a job, experience, and two unlikely friends. While being pulled out of her shell, she finds herself in the most strange situations, slowly seeing this town isn't as it seems.
