When he was eight years old, Mathew Rivers was rescued from the ruins of a flood by a mysterious group of assassins who worked for hire without a moral compass. Over the next ten years, he trained, fought, and killed. For every target he killed, Matt would put a new charm on his necklace, not wanting to forget the stories of the people who had died.
