I was always different.   From the day I was made, I stood out from everyone else.  Normally, that's what people strive for, to make their mark.  But I was a special kind of different. The kind that is abandoned, hated, and cast off as nothing.   I never wanted to be this way, but it wasn't my choice.   My parents say that because I'm this way, I am destined to make a difference in the world we live in.  They were wrong.

Different- 1) Not the same as another, or each other; Unlike in nature, form or quality. I thought being different was a good thing. You know, the whole 'Im not conforming to you' deal. I thought I was unique, my own person. Apparently not everyone thinks being different is a good thing. They're afraid of my difference. Maybe it's my long white hair? Or my glowing silver eyes? Or it could just be because.... I'm not fully human. I tried to keep it a secret. Really I did. I knew the consequence of something like this getting out. So my secret stayed a secret. All until the day the little girl walked out in front of the truck.
