Rivera, at age 13, gets a little too closely entwined with the secrets of the forest. Wanting to know if the monsters she's been dreaming about exist, and eager to prove them real to her fellow bunkmates, she goes looking in the woods for something to help. After she comes across a ruined temple in the woods, things finally start to go her way. She doesn't know what the strange symbols hanging in the air mean. She doesn't know what she's done.
20 years later, Cassandra is trying to wrap her head around the mysteries of the camp. Her life revolves around the fact that everything can be solved with science and logic. But her whole world flips upside down when her bunkmates and her come across a sea serpent in the lake. Desperate to find reason in the chaos that unfolds at camp, she starts to befriend an entity that supposedly has all the answers.

There's a cabin in the woods, and four teenagers. Oh did I also mention it's summer? I know how much more cliche can it get? Well, the answer is a little bit more, considering there's two girls, two guys, and maybe a couple evil spirits that need to be exorcised. But what happens as they find out the hellish secrets of the cabin, or what happens when the perfect couple in the group isn't so perfect, this cabin is more than a few evil spirits and these teens are more than just horny (well at least some of them are).
