This is a world where the undead are persecuted merely for existing. They may fight back, but they all end up the same way. And when they give up hope, they turn into a hollow.
And, once hollow, they can never be human again.
"The lords said 'The glory of the gods will shine on thee, foul and impure undead, damn thy bending of nature to your dark will!'
And thus it shall be, all must make the choice - fight undead for the glory of the gods or join their ranks."

This is the tale of one such undead. He doesn't realize it, but fate guides his every footstep.

An infant is found to be the only survivor of a human village just outside of the elven forest. The elves come to investigate not wanting the dead bodies to cause problems. They find the infant with her dead mother surrounded by dead invaders. There is no identity, no way to find relatives, and no way of even knowing if the father of the baby survived elsewhere. First, there was existence. Then, creation. And finally, life. However, when a conflict threatens to destroy the world, dragons become the definition of beasts and humans become nearly helpless to survive the onslaught or become monsters themselves. As the planet closes on its own destruction, a child born of both universes will be either the last light of hope to end the bloodshed once and for all or become its greatest threat to not only Earth, but possibly the whole universe. As two beings run from death itself, their child must survive not just to save Humanity, but all of Dragonkind as well. (Author: This story and others have been living rent-free in my head for a while. My own dark take on the "war, but with dragons" concept, this is the start of an anthology of stories. THIS BOOK WAS WRITTEN WHEN I WAS LIKE TEN. ITS VERY BAD LMAO Staffie and her dog Unicorn, a white great dane puppy, move to her uncle and aunt's mansion after her parents 'died'. her uncle and aunt have to go on a business trip, leaving Staffie and Unicorn in a house full of boys... vampire boys. they all look to be around the same age, but in reality are thousands of years apart. she falls in love with the eldest out of the six brothers; Tayson, or Tay for short. when some questions of her past pop up, she has figure out who or more like WHAT she is. when she discovers her true identity, things turn upside down in her life. even if that's possible. 'watch out humans, there's a Reaper in town. try not to die!' ---- prologue "Mitch we have to leave!" Annabelle yelped, holding a baby girl with black hair and blue eyes in her arms. "leave! go somewhere safe!" Mitch said, pulling a knife out of his leg. they were fleeing from the townspeople who had lit their house on fire screaming; "be gone evil demons!" all the couple wanted was to be able to live like normal humans, but atlass that was impossible. Reapers keep taking lives, and Humans continue feering them. and so, the couple grabbed their baby girl; Staffie. their hellhound; Unicorn and grabbed their death scythe's. -one year later- they arrived in a human city where some friends lived. "Mitch, what are we going to do now?" "we will live like humans for as long as possible. and, if we're lucky, we can keep this awful fate of being a Reaper from our daughter." he said looking down at the small child holding his hand tightly. and they did keep being a Reaper from her. and, when she turned 18 the decided they should tell her; but not empty handed. so they left to get her a death scythe. little did they know; they would never see her again. and she would have to figure it out on her own.Abgeschlossene Geschichte

There's the fairytale of a princess stowed away in a tower guarded by a fire breathing dragon. She prays and prays for a knight in shining armor to take her away from the wretched tower. Of course he slays the dragon, they ride into the sunset, and they live happily ever after. I despise those tales for gifting people false hope. There may not be any dragons in this word but be warned for there are monster who lurk. Teeth lusting to tear, claws craving to carve, and tongues silver with lies. Same goes for those praying for that knight to magically make their monster disappear. Only for their whales of despair to be met with the harsh truth of silence. It's vexing not being able to tell them 'someone is looking for you' and 'I'm almost there, stay strong'. I'm no knight by any stretch but I'm all these lost souls have for a chance of surviving. Blessed with divine forgiveness I'm armed with the ability to hear their pleas. At any moment my mind will be flushed with their screeching, cries, and whispers of hell. Bound by a gods curse to save those who called for my help or have their suffering broadcasted into my head until their demise.
