I am lying on the forest floor; dried autumn leaves crackling under my weight. The night air smells crisp, of pine and cedar, yet it seems stronger than ever before. When I look up at the night sky, my breath is taken away at the brightness of the stars and crescent moon. 

Salairia Hevoire is a vampire. She has been one for a long, long time. And for as long as she has lived, she's been running. Quite literally for her life. See, there is a band of ancient vampires, called the Originals, after her. And they will stop at nothing to find her. Nothing.

After a terrible day of school a trip to the grocery store becomes violent. She watches the death of a man, all of his blood drained out of his pale body by four tall dangerous men. The men kidnap her, but one sticks out of all of them. She soon falls in love but he wants their love to immortal. One of the men knows she is special, Sage is shattered, will one of them be able to pick up the pieces and put her back together but in a twisted way?
