This story was originally a Grimm's Fairy Tale, but I tried to make it less, you know, grim. Honestly, this was the first Grimm's Fairy Tale I read and it didn't live up to the hype of a tragic, gory story one expects from the brothers Grimm. 
Anyway, here's a basic summery of the main characters:
Princess: Stuck up and pretty, bad at any and all work
King: Fed up with his daughter
Thrushbeard/Beggar/Drunk guy: Trickster, plays an instrument
