People moved in from all around the world to live on the mysterious floating cities. We couldn't leave Earth though. Earth has vital resources for making floating cities. Nobody wanted to go back to Earth, so the government made a test to see where you will work when you grow up, Earth or in the clouds. But the government has secrets they don't want getting out. At first, everything was normal - boring classes, loud buses, everyday life. Until it wasn't. Until one of us vanished. Right there, in the middle of second period, she disappeared - not like she ran away, but like something pulled her out of existence. We thought we imagined it. Until the school forced an emergency assembly to explain it away with lies. Until we noticed the same mark etched into all six of us. Until people started forgetting she ever existed. And suddenly... we weren't strangers anymore. Now we know it wasn't just a glitch in reality. It was a claim. We are marked. We are chosen. And we are no longer our own.
