Suamiku pecandu rokok, suka main judi, tak mau sholat. Dulu, sih, masih mau walaupun bolong-bolong. Tapi sejak aku kecelakaan dan kakiku cacat, dia berubah total. Pernah sebentar mau ke masjid, tapi gegara pengurusnya fanatik, suamiku merasa tak pantas masuk masjid. Sekarang, dia sudah tidak mau lagi ke mana-mana yang berhubungan dengan masjid apalagi urusan di kampung.
Di lain sisi, aku punya tiga orang anak. Yang sulung, seharusnya sudah SMK, tetapi karena bapak-ibunya tak sepaham, dia jadi malas dan akhirnya putus sekolah. Sekarang, dia ikut teman sekampung, mengelana. Aku sedih, anakku jadi ikutan bapaknya, merokok dan tak mau lagi beribadah. Aku hanya bisa mencoba ikhlas, menjalani saja, terpaksa menerima keadaan. Tak tahu apa yang bisa kulakukan selain pasrah.

Iniwan ng pamilya at ipinagkatiwala sa mayamang lola, pinilit niyang magpatuloy sa buhay, subalit ang kalungkutan mula sa pagkakahiwalay sa pamilya ay naghatid sa kanya sa madilim na landas. Sa bawat hakbang, nagiging mahirap ang pagkontrol sa kaguluhan sa kanyang buhay-pag-takas sa gabi, clubbing, at pagkalulong sa bawal na gamot dulot ng pag-sama sa iba ibang kaibigan. Lahat ng ito ay naging paraan ni Viena upang matakasan ang kanyang pinagdadaanan, ngunit hindi nito naalis ang sakit sa kanyang puso. Sa kabila ng lahat ng ito, isang tao lang ang patuloy na nagmamahal sa kanya-ang kanyang half-brother na si Lucas. Ngunit dahil sa takot na muling maiiwan, tinanggihan niya ito, iniisip na hindi siya karapat-dapat sa pag-mamahal.
