Andolin, a 15 year old girl, has never known life's true meaning. She has never felt the color, love, and pain, but that would soon change.  She could have never know that all of life's harshest colors would come to light. Unexpected problems with her family's finance and the fear of oncoming war threaten to take her down. When worst comes to worst she is forced to leave her family behind to save her own life, ending up with a surprising find; a large group of teens and children with stories even worse than her own. Through all of the hardships she finds romance, which turns out to be the most painful experience of all. Though all faith and hope is lost she finds an unforeseen light at the end of a very dark tunnel. Only because she knows there is no escape, she is determined to find a way.
