"Mommy, why are they hurting that boy?"

"Because he's a bastard child, Akira. One who shouldn't even be allowed to live."

~~~
In Hell, Ryoji is a bastard child, the result of an illegal cross between an angel and a demon. His parents were executed before his eyes when he was three, but the young boy was spared... if you can call it that. He was subjected to brutal labor and punishments, but later escaped- only to be considered a fugitive. All because he was born.
Akira is the son of a honored official in the Underworld (Hell.) He grows up in high society, but secretly hates all the wealthy beings who believe that their money and favorable bloodlines make them better than the common people. He is forced to enter training as a reaper, but rebels against the traditional reaper laws.
When the two's paths cross, all hell breaks loose- literally.
