once upon a summer...

Senior, Devin, and her best friend, Ander, have been planning a trip for the summer between Senior year of high school and Freshman year of college since they met in their Junior year. The story revolves around them finishing high school, budding romance, and having the time of their lives traveling around the U.S. with some unexpected guests.

"Come on Devin... please?"
"Yeah whatever. Add New York to the list."
"Yes! You're the best!"
That was my favorite person on this earth, Ander. We've been inseparable since last year. Yes she was the most definitely the most annoying person I know, but I still love her.
"Can we add Maine on the list too then. Since it's near New York?" I asked. I almost immediately regret it. I didn't want to go back to Maine. Why did I say that?
"Sure. But whats in Maine?"
That was the question. What was in Maine? A lot of people that I did not want to think about. Only one person really knew about what happened there, and even he was gone now.
"Dev, Should we put California on the list?"
"You're kidding right?"
"Obviously."
"Okay. It's already 3. We should either go to bed or watch something on Netflix ."
"Netflix!!"
I laughed.

This is kind of a romance novel and the beginning of the book is focused more on that than the traveling part, but I had to make the end of school exciting too. It does become a travel book.
