The vampires have taken over, the humans are now living in cities underground preparing their army. An attack on the vampire capital kidnapping Lucas, the royal vampire prince makes Kara, Lucas's younger sister, do anything to get him back, even if it means putting her own life in danger. Fain, Lucas's interrogator, is looking for answers and secrets from Lucas about the vampires, to defeat them in the 100 Year War, but Fain's twin sister Elli already knows a plan that could possibly destroy both vampires and humans.
