Nameless is an ancient being. They've traveled the world more times than one could count, watched entire wars commence from the top of a cliff side, seen worlds being born in front of their very eyes, made many different friends and has even rubbed elbows with the most important people in all the realms.

They don't remember shit.

After befriending The Slenderman in his youth, and becoming a major part of his young adult life, Nameless suddenly disappears.

Nearly a millennium after their disappearance, slenderman is still trying to get over the loss of his very good friend. All is going well and he's almost managed to stop grieving until one of his proxies finds them in a different woods in the nearby country.
