She's the captain of the cheer and volleyball team and student council president. She has the looks, skills, and brains. What most people don't know about her is that deep inside her life isn't picture perfect, and she holds depressing experiences that she has barely lived through.

Spencer is a 17 year old boy who is the number one jock at his school. He has a cocky personality that all girls fall for. He is the captain of all the sports team, specifically the famous football and hockey team, and on top of that he is striking handsome and smoking hot. Spencer is extremely playful and jokes about everything, but when his family is having financial issues, not so much.

Spencer and Piper used to be really good friends ever since they were a couple months old until Piper had to move when she was six and Spencer was eight. Having been family friends, their parents kept contact over the years, consistently failing to arrange a time to meet. When Spencer's family suffer financially, they decide to spend the summer at Piper's family's house. Piper's secrets unfold, and Spencer's family's financial dilemmas are starting to affect him. Will the two remember friendship where it used to be, forget about it completely, or will that friendship turn into something more?
