Deep in the Arcane Commonwealth, land of the mages, there's a condemned tower. They say a mysterious incident claimed the lives of all who lived there, the notable victims being Mariel Amaranth, Head Archivist Alistair Banes, and Imperate Warden Tessarius Severus. However, many years ago, a brave Paladin of the sun goddess, Diasunne, was sent by a survivor's father to retrieve the Baron and his daughter.

The question is: does the Baron even want to be rescued? Has he fallen to the level of the Commonwealth thugs and dogs, consorting with mages and bringing his ruin upon his own head?
